That barking dog at Anderson Road (as of a year or so ago) was a Pit Bull. I had an early morning encounter with it one day. It wasn't chained and came at a decent speed. Thankfully, it slowed, stopped, and just barked. Almost ruined my day because it was too early to head back home for a change of shorts--or to the Urgent Care in Cheney for stitches. (Yes, I trespassed along the tracks on the way back to my truck to avoid another encounter).

BTW, I recently digitized my old tape recordings (not many, but enough for nostalgia purposes) of EMDs on Donner, Tehachapi, and the Feather River Canyon.
