Latest roll came back fine

For what it's worth, I received my latest roll of PKR (supposedly professional grade Kodachrome) back from Dwayne's Photo of Parsons Kans. four days ago. They still process it, and you can also order K-64 from them. They do a good job of it; on cardboard mounts vs. plastic and quick turnaround time with Priority Mail for around five bucks. Interestingly enough, they are also the contract developing firm that Walmart uses; I had other slide film developed via this fashion in February on a trial basis after reading a discussion forum at Photo.net
I became partial to Velvia and Provia, though, because I feel those films react better to shadow areas, have less contrast and their brighter color richness really comes through on hazy days than Kodachrome.
And finally, if you're still using film, chemical darkroom, et.al., check out Freestyle Photographic, (online) and DR-5 in Denver, Colo. if you want your black and white negative film developed as a positive (slide) film!
