The UP has done the necessary repairs to run trains from Klamath Falls to Alturas. Last week they made a trip to interchange with the Lake RR out of Lakeview. They will be picking all the stored tank cars at Ambrose, Hatfield and Merrill and forwarding them to Black Butte for eventual storage on the Yreka Western. If all goes well the UP will make two round trips per week to Alturas.
