JGNBUWhen with my family we lived in Milwaukee from 1946-1953, I fondly recall several trips I took on the Milwaukee Road. In 1947 and 1948, age 9 and 10, I sent summer camp on Trout lake, Wisconsin, north of Woodruff, getting there and back aboard a Milwaukee road train. In 1949 and 1950 my mother's twin sister and her husband ran a skii lodge at Targhee Pass, West Yellostone, Montanta, where during Spring vacation my sister and I traveled between Milwaukee and Three Forks, Montanta on the Olympian Hiawatha. I remember well, the wonderful amenities of that train, especially those marvelous Skytop observation cars where I'm sure I hung out far more than the adults would have liked!
