From my trip to Isaac Walton Inn courtesy Amtrak in fall, 2007, I can tell all that both wooden snowsheds are quite accessible. One double track shed is about 1/2 mile East of the Inn; simply walk along the tracks. Dick Seelye's advise on bear spray is worth noting here. Shed 7 is also accessible from a dirt road leading North off Hwy. 2. The rental car from Isaac Walton Inn easily handled this road. Climb up the steel ladder to the roof for great shots of Westbounds; I didn't see any 'No Trespassing' signs but if challenged you could always say a bear chased you up there !!!
