I suppose storing the train at McClellan and launching #6 out of Roseville makes sense from a scheduling standpoint. That would eliminate the automatic 3+ hour delay detouring through Marysville. Of course, any added delay to #5 would probably go unnoticed...

This all may become moot once UP reopens this line from Sacramento.

Useless side note - Traffic is still down a bit on the hill, and 1 track is out of service again between Colfax & Auburn due to MOW equipment stored on the track at Applegato.
