The number of cars varies, depending on NUMMI's output at any given time. In good times, they can load a hundred or more multi-levels in a 24 hour period. Of course, the auto business is down now.
There are several regular locals and haulers that work out of and/or into Warm Springs (including a daily BNSF job from Richmond). There are also RCL jobs that work Warm Springs yard and the auto ramps, plus the RCL jobs that used to work out of Milpitas to San Jose were transfered to Warm Springs after the Milpitas yard was closed earlier this summer. Warm Springs is also one of the away-from-home points for Pool Freight jobs from Roseville and San Luis Obispo.

This is UP's Warm Springs Sub, which is the old SP line between Niles and San Jose. The majority of the traffic is multi-levels, plus some manifest traffic for the locals that work out of there. The circus train also used it recently.
