I wish I could say I had pics near Fortine, but sadly, I do not. when I was in the area, I was a summer employee for the USFS and took GN's Western Star out of Whitefish to Eureka. I passed thru Fortine but never stopped. Having no car, I traveled soley by train -- both passenger and freight, once riding in the trailing F unit (crew invited me) from Troy to Whitefish. Now that I can post pics here, I'll downsize them and post some. Be aware tho that I had a Kodak Brownie then, and the Eureka era is definately not up to today's standards.
