Lifts

Wheelchair lifts are required by well-tested federal law, and are available at all rail stations.
I've provided such service.

The need is making boarding and departing trains and other transportation a pleasant experience for those of us still reasonably able-bodied. Consistent steps, from say 4" to 8", are handled by maybe 98% of the public. Handrails are always expected.

Observe the front doors of city, charter, school, retirement/nursing home buses ; where the ADA access is provided at a dedicated second door.
