Wanna Bet!
Especially if they raise caine on forums, in the streets and in the town halls, while they're doing all that whining. And yes, we've sure had a lot of that lately. Now what do you suppose will happen when all those previously silent citizens find out that they are not alone in their attitudes and concerns? It could snowball!
And as you seem to notice, The President does seem to be a lightning rod, attracting all this new government bashing. Maybe it's because he seems like a used car salesman trying ram a fast deal down our throats, before we can wise up and think twice.
Or maybe it has nothing to do with him per se; but rather, that the attention given to all the massive government takeovers lately, has sensitized people as to just how really widespread, abuse of power has become in our government institutions.
Now when those abuses happen to railroads and to railfans, as they have been reported here in this thread; you're likely to hear the squawking right here on the river city forum. And what do you suppose will happen when a lot of railfans find out that they are not alone in their attitudes and concerns? -- More of Same!
As long as American citizens continue to find out about these things, The only way I know to quell all the fuss, is for government to quit abusing its "limited powers" (ya-right).
Perhaps the next abuse is to quell our sources of information. No one can complain or protest something they do not know about. Or perhaps speaking out can be outlawed.
Yikes! that's scary! Lets hope not! --
Ya, I know, lazy media and one sided reporting, may have already accomplished just that very thing by accident. -- Scarier still!
Or are we just now waking up? ? ? ?
