4449 Tube Time?

As usual for any big 4449 outing, there are already folks saying "That will never happen again!"

Of course in this case, it's probably safe to say she won't do another trans-continental run any time soon. But who knows for certain? Maybe they'll go to Trainfest again in 2010. If not that, then probably some other run sooner or later.

However, there is one thing that can slow the old girl down. That's needing new boiler tubes. An expensive proposition, and one that takes some time.

Anyone know how long the current boiler tubes are good for? When's the last time she was re-tubed?
