Camp 6, Shay #7 Crew 1968

The whole crew lined up in front of KL&L #7. Left to right, Tim Johnson, Stephen Thompson, Jack Anderson, Vance (Collier?), Norm Elsner, Mac (Mr. McCarther I think, but we always called him Mac), and Roy Cutler.

Norm was one of the regular engineers on the 7 at Klickitat, and he made the drive to Tacoma every weekend to operate her. Wow did he have some good stories to tell. As the head end brakeman, I heard plenty, but, sorry to say, I was too intent on the loco to remember them!
