Key Route Ken was kind enough to send the Oregon Pacific Railroad some very interesting photos of the OPR East Portland Branch from back when it was Portland Traction and PEPCO and when the trolleys ran. One picture was really of interest, out at Golf Junction, because the view today has changed very little in the 67 years since the photo was taken. The OPR recreated this photo last Saturday, using the PTC No. 100.

In the first picture from Key Route Ken, is PEPCO No. 1408 at Golf Junction, taken September 26, 1942. The building in the background is the old substation, which is still there and of course the line pictured in 1942 is still very much in use today.

In second two pictures taken just a few days ago, the No. 100 is stopped in the exact same spot.

Pictured on the No. 100 is Dick Samuels (Shortline Sammie). On the ground is Chris McLarney, who's UP caboose was at the end of the train on that day.

Shortline Sammie could probably weigh in with a lot more info if anyone has any questions!
