Railfaning in the Bronx

Grabbed this shot when taking the train to visit my uncle on my last biz trip to NYC.

To be honest, this is an image I would never have taken back in the day when it was all roster shots and catching everything before it was too late.

Nowadays, with nothing but SD70ACes and GEVOs and ubiquitious MUs, I am finally trying to take pictures like I've seen "real photographers" take... and this is one such try... commuters in the rain in the Bronx.

Probably not of interest to most on this list, but I have to admit, I was happy to have taken it. I only wish I had shots like this of the Santa Fe in Pasadena or the Erie Lackawanna in Ridgewood NJ... but in those days, I shot the engine and I was done.
