From NW Cable News:
"SEATTLE – A Sound Transit LINK Light Rail train has derailed on a ramp near the SoDo train yard, and it is affecting regular Light Rail service.
A Sound Transit spokesperson says the train is blocking the southbound light rail tracks. It was just coming into service, so nobody was on board. The operator was not hurt.
Passengers headed south on Light Rail should board from the northbound platforms at the Mount Baker, Beacon Hill and SoDo Stations. Trains will now be arriving at stations about every 20 minutes, which is less frequently than normal.
The cause of the derailment has not been released. There is no estimated time of when service will be back to normal or when the train will be cleared from the tracks.
Video from the scene shows the part of the train on one set of tracks, then sitting perpendicular on another set of tracks.
Another train was able to squeeze by the accident scene on another set of tracks. Maintenance workers could be seen walking on the tracks, investigating the problem.
