Greetings fellow foamers!!!

My wife and I find ourselves on the Southern California coast for a week. My beautiful new wife has agreed to spend 1 of our days train chasing (what a CATCH!!)!!! I'd like to visit Cajon pass, but know little about it. I was wondering if any of you might be kind enough to provide some info. Specifically, I am wondering the following:

1) Whats the train count (approximate) these days on the BNSF and UP?
2) Any train watching locals up there that I shouldn't miss?
3) Are any days better than others as far as triffic volume?
4) Are there any other activities/towns out that way that worth a visit so that I don't bore my poor wife to death?

I definately appreciate any help anyone can give!!! I don't get down this way much (from Seattle area) and want to make the most of any foaming trip I can get in!!!

Cheers,

MCL
