I don't buy these reasons. Other commuter rail systems in smaller cities do much better. Try TriRail from Miami north:

or Front Runner from Salt Lake City to Ogden:
[www.rideuta.com]

And if you look at commuter rail evening schedules in comparable cities like Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, and New York, they make Metrolink look, well, incomplete.

Anyhow, I'll have to drive to dinner with family in Union Station at the TRAXX Restaurant instead of just driving the few miles to the Riverside Metrolink Station.
