There is another bridge for sale out west, painted a dull orange they call gold.
But of course, that IS the great American tradition ain't it - to stick a feather in your cap but call it macaroni. So lets just stick to that tradition and push a string of small masses with a very heavy one, and just don't call it a derailment when it jackknifes on impact with anything bigger than a pickup truck. Just go ahead and call one out of every seventy six - somehow safe. Yup - it's macaroni all right!
So just because your "Government" says it's safe; you believe it? And all the kings men and all the kings horses COULD TOO put Humpty-Dumpty back together - right.
They can call it whatever they like - it still AIN'T SO. Just as the Congress ignores the voters, the FRA ignores the NTSB, and the NTSB ignores the non-realities of PTS; so too does nature just plain ignore your government. Natures laws of physics give sway to no man - not even the latest Icon of Deity to take office.
Just MetroLink and the Surf-Liners alone, have had more grade crossing derailments than your supposed national statistics claim. They are an obvious fraud - even if the FRA did publish them. But even if they were right, 1 outta 76 is somehow safe? I guess as long as it ain't your kid that gets hurt next. There's Lies - there's Damned Lies -- and then, there's Statistics. Dr. Zarkoff is right. You must have quite a bridge collection by now!
Oh - and btw, the deities of government will never tell you who it actually it, that keeps putting poor old Humpty up on the wall in the first place! It's a great American tradition. . . . . .
