The 97 flood washed out the diversion dam, and from what I hear the eco-wackos wouldn't let it be rebuilt. That is only a "maybe" because it might not have been economical to rebuild it. A few portions of the flume were washed out in the same flood, and it's been slowly deteriorating since.
There is another power plant of the same vintage on the opposite side of the river about a mile east of the old east siding switch of Verdi (Fleish ??). It's still in use, and sections of its the flume were repaired earlier this year.
