The Lompoc/White Hills local still uses a beat up old SP Police caboose which, I believe, is of D&RGW ancestry. It is kept in Lompoc at the junction of the White Hills and Lompoc branches and is used as a "shoving platform" for the street and backyard running on the branch up to the mine. As I recall, the doorways are covered with steel bars to prevent the crew from going inside. I will try to find a photo of it and post it.
