Lassen Valley Railway's parent company is A&K Railroad Materials, which operates a handful of shortlines. But, they also deal in used track materials. So, you be the judge. The other player is Nevada Central. Their filings talk about establishing a connection with BNSF in "northern California." You can used the
AP search engine to read more about them.
There is a customer (or, potential customer) near Wendel that's mentioned in the various STB filings. If you're
really interested, you can look through them on the STB's web site at [

There's a sometime tie recycler at the current end of the line, just north of Flanigan. As I understand it, that part of the line will remain UP.
