My indirect point was that there is a reason for decaying infrastructure. I'll call it the "Sheriff of Nottingham" principle. The tycoons and corporations - the 1% that has virtually all of the money - feels they are entitled to have the infrastructure provided for them scot-free. Reverse Robin Hood: tax the peasantry.
