SLC TRAX cars

The rest of the VTA cars are still in VTA colors at Sacramento RT shops, with no apparent effort being made to place them in service. If I recall, these cars were loaned to SLC for the Olympics and returned.

With all the problems experienced with compatibility issues between the Siemens light rail equipment and CAF equipment, will introducing a third manufacturer into the fray (Bombardier) in Sacramento simply exascerbate the compatibility problems? Perhaps SLC's solution would benefit RT and provide a ready-made customer for 25 unused VTA cars.
