Thanks for the news.

Once upon a time, before trucks, Simpson (Timber) had one of the greatest logging railroads.
Vestiges may be found. Few of their lines didn't become dirt and/or gravel roads.

It is my understanding that the yard West of town allows the logging and the mill to operate at their own paces. The line from the reload comes East thru downtown and includes a display of rail logging equipment. At the mill entrance, the line crosses the WW II vintage line to the Bremerton Naval Yard and the vast nuclear munitions storage, and a garbage reload. Any other customers in the county?

Simpson's websites may have a bit of history in them. Their packaged building supplies may be found (at what building site are still active).
