I was lucky enough to ride in 1985 with the crew from Shelton to Camp Grisdale, just a few months before Grisdale was shut down. The line over the giant bridge was still in place, though I'm not sure it was still operating. The whole operation was just so cool ... last I was up there, log trains were still running --- hauling loads from Shelton west to the dry sort yard, the reverse of how it had gone the previous 100 or so years!
