DD's in T-town

Here's a few of the big UP DD's in Tacoma. The first shot shows you a good view of the north end of the Tacama Yards. The DD's are rolling into the small UP yard. In the distance you can see Reservation Interlocker. The tracks in the middle of the shot are the old GN/NP yard leads, and to the left, another NP yard lead and the double tracked mainline. This train will switch the UP yard then leave Tacoma to the south via the 15th street swing bridge dicussed earlier and re-enter the BN/Former NP mainline at UP Junction.

The second shot is of the same train leaving town along Ruston Way. In the distance is the old Sperry Flour Mill.

The third shot is of Geep 30 and DD B-unit coming off the 15th street bridge and crossing onto the BN main at UP Junction.

Finally, essentially taken in the same place, only looking away, this train rolls onto the high iron.
