Sierra by the beach

Heading home this afternoon, I spotted the Sierra Railroad's #48 making a crawl for the fields of Nuga while on Highway 1. I turned around and headed up Beach Street to my fave location of Manresa Beach. It was a misty and partly cloudy afternoon, but a fine day for my first experience with the Sierra on the Santa Cruz Branch. The #48 had a train of a boxcar, centerbeam, and four tank cars. I'm at a loss as to who's receiving the tank cars. The last shipper to use them was Wrigley's during the SP era. You just never know what you'll see next on the Sierra. ;-)
