What a great photo and story. That really gives the feel for the yard. I usually cleared out shortly BEFORE sunset!

Here's a couple from an evening in late spring, 1970. A nortbound freight is holding Main 2 waiting for a Portland/Seattle pool passenger to run around it. Out in the yard a switcher and Geep go about their business.
