Here we find the Main Track or Controlled Siding 'mailbox' time-lock switch opened and lined for one of a handful of industries at Guasti, Calif. on a warm July, 1978 day. The switchstand flag might be referenced with a SPINS book, giving the shipper's information. Guasti is near Ontario, not too far west of SP's massive West Colton yard. It's just another afternoon for this crew, but it's over thirty years ago for us!
As always, comments on equipment/operations are always welcomed, and help out the archive notes, too. Thanks for looking! Photo by Norman K. Johnson.
