The last estimate that I heard was in late March from the company doing the bridge repairs. They were looking at April 17. Looks like they might have been off a bit, but it has to be getting close.
For those keeping score, Regulus Stud (the other mill in St. Maries) has said that their BNSF traffic will continue to be reloaded at Bennett Lumber in Princeton on the old WIM. Apparently, the amount that the UP is charging shippers for cars that will go to the BNSF at Spokane is high enough that this move is economically good for them. The UP considers that traffic as "detour" since the east end of the WIM was severed by the washout and charges it differently now that all the STMA traffic is captive.
Serious rumors about a UP Plummer Branch/STMA RR "package" deal to a shortline. My fingers refuse to type the name of the potential operator.
