Well that answers it all! Many thanks guys! I had been primarily interested in the Alhambra Sub because SP was/is my favorite RR. Granted, it's all one color now, but searchlight signals and code lines still exist in lots of spots on the old SP, so I was hoping to get some shots of those because they are fading fast! And just to further demonstrate why I asked about traffic patterns, I was at Walnut today on the SP and could see the UP main in the distance. During my 4.5 hour period there, zero activity on SP and 9 freights on UP, plus Metrolink, going both directions. It was the same when I visited the area 2 years ago as well. I did notice the grade separation under construction in West Covina on the Alhambra Sub. Looks like it will be double tracked and bi-directional CTC. Maybe I just have bad luck...Thanks again everyone!
