Actually you can. Around 1973 at 17th & Market a #8 got stuck on a dead spot on the overhead. I told the driver if I could get a few extra passengers to help me we could push it - so long as he would stop and let us back on. We did and he did and we were back underway.

Marmons also ran in Columbus until 1965 or so.
