A idea for the timetables

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this option yet.

For the consideration of Mr. Curlee and the forum:
After the supplies of timetables and other saleable goods have been exhausted, please consider releasing the content into the Public Domain.

Perhaps an open source software development model can be used to maintain the content; someone more familiar with implementation details can weigh in here. Preferably use a suitable existing repository, wiki, etc. rather than starting from scratch.

The current content could be posted as a fixed starting point (release). Contributors can freely update the repository along with named sources (employee time tables, on site observation, etc.) Periodically versions could be frozen by (benevolent dictator, voting, ???). Ultimately we don't know who is in a position to verify accuracy, but at least the sources would be documented.

I'd be especially interested to know if this has been considered, or if there are obstacles due to the current (private, correct?) ownership structure of AP.

TIA for your replies and comments.
