Wow, over the past few weeks David has had to wrestle with the reality of a business that he obviously loves but is sucking the life out of him. This past weekend he had to make the uncomfortable and difficult decision to disclose his plans to the public (i.e. railfan community). I can't even imagine how much hand-wringing he has endured the past few months to get to this point and now he has to deal with a bunch of obnoxious cowards here on HIS discussion board telling HIM how to manage it. WTF?

Personally, if I was David, I'd shut it down today and shut it down forever. He doesn't need this crap right now from anyone. This is HIS sandbox, he provides it FREE for everyone to use, he calls the shots and he's done a damned fine job of keeping things pretty civil over the years. But for what? So a bunch of self-righteous jerks can come along and question his dedication to, and credibility within this community? Wow, you guys have great timing.

Don't like the way he runs HIS forum? Take a hike. Go start your own. You can call it railfanclownforum.com. At least let the rest of us it enjoy this community while we can without all a bunch of childish, narcissistic, self-absorbed boobs ruining it for those of us here who are capable of restraining ourselves so David doesn't have to devote any more than the minimum amount of resources to policing it.
