First of all, A big thanks and a job well done to Mr. Curlee!
How many realize of all the work it takes to make a newsletter or timetable? Considering there are articles covering all areas, I have read articles of events that have happened around my local area (Reading, PA) before I have read it in the local newspapers. I have written weekly newsletters for my church and monthly newsletters for the local little league. There is a lot of work to research the info, even when much of it is contributed. This is a publication that costs nothing that is updated DAILY! What really amazes me, is the amount of work it takes to put together a timetable and the ones that Altamont Press published was first rate. I lived in the Bay Area for 35 years and now live in Pennsylvania. I travel cross-country at least once a year, and found the timetables to be the nest source of information there is. How many publications give the track and milepost info, locomotive rosters of the railroads, frequencies, train symbols, etc., in one handy book that can fit in your pocket? I have continued to purchase at least the CA timetable annually as I travel west. In my opinion, these timetables are worth their weight in gold as I had most of everything I need. I again thank Mr. Curlee and all who are involved in this excellent site. It's obviously a work of love as I wondered who was going to take over when Rob Carlsen died, but this site continued on with the same level of excellence. If this site goes away, I will feel like I lost a longtime friend.
