Last I saw it was still wending its way through the FRA environmental process. See: [www.fra.dot.gov] Still alive, just not very noisy right now.

This is a largely private proposal, but avoids some right of way cost by using public (freeway in some cases) land as much as possible. Conventional HSR technology; not the maglev dream machine.
