Thanks Arlen. I'm glad I could help "The Friends".

I do remember one or two windmill trains Brian. I chased one from King City to Salinas in June of 2003. Interesting differences. The Coast line train has the blades wrapped and nearly all the blades were shipped in a modified quartet of shipping containers, except for two blades in frame structure. This required the use of three flat cars per blade. The BNSF train only needed two flats per blade. The 2003 train had some sort of electrical cable connecting each car. Never did figure out what that was. And the 2003 train had a caboose, no such animal on the BNSF train.

Someone sent me photos of a train from March of 2003 (I've forgotten who, was it you Brian?). There's some nice shots from Cuesta grade and from when the train was delivered to the Yolo Short line.
