CXT in Spokane has an Engineering Department that specializes in location-dependant installations. The railroads have turnout standards, but concrete tie turnouts end up being custom installations in a lot of places. I have been involved in a few design projects where turnouts were installed in the mainline in existing concrete tie areas. They just got installed with wood ties.
