No more Topes ..about half of the road to the capitol is 4 lane divided speedway now.. The Michatoya has 6 wheel trucks. Looked like looking under a shrunken Pullman. The 3 cars are in the museum now. You were fortunate to have ridden one.. Passing thru where "Thistle,Utah" was...in the dark just last Monday on 6 the conductor was telling a story, if I can recall right, when he worked on a UP 4000 when the auger broke...He said he and others tried shoveling coal into the huge firebox as fast as they could but finally the engine was reduced to running at about 3 mph. No substitute for an auger....This reminded me of your experience...== A new never used copy of that what? 1953 employees tt was given to me also. Many supplements followed..but it was the last published... Again..have you ever heard of 6 wheel narrow gauge trucks elsewhere?
