I am a little confused (as usual). The photo is that of an east bound and he is not in the siding, but on the main line. Or, as I said, am I confused?
On another note, the freight traffic will return as soon as AMTK pays for the PTC on the coast. The SP did the same thing back in the early 80's, but with a tie, rail and ballast renewal program. They cut the freight traffic drastically for quite a period of time. By the time the renewal program was in, and paid for mostly by AMTK, the freight resumed. PTC is the #2 piority in the nation for PTC.So, I figure by the middle to towards the end of 2012 you will see renewed traffic on the coast.
