A virtual tour of the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia for my friends scattered across the country on Altamont Press.

Today we visit "the Train Factory" in the Museum to see the unique Baldwin Locomotive Works 4-10-2 #600000. Yup, #60000 as she was Baldwin's 60,000th locomotive and designed to be the best. Note the remarks on the following photos for the fascinating details of this magnificent engine that toured the country in the 30's on many systems!

AND - my hallmark shot - a 2 second zoom pan!
Yup - the steam engine sits on a display track inside the museum and is rigged to move
back and forth several times a day roughly 16'. The kids can't get enough!

A ZOOM PAN of #60000 in motion!

Hope you enjoyed!
