Well, are you asking how long CWR strings are out of the steel mill, or how long they are once they are laid down? 1/4 mile (1320 feet) strings are common out of steel mills, but once laid down and welded, CWR can run as long or as short as it needs to, until there is a switch, a signal insulated joint, a long steel bridge or something else that is unable to have welded rail through it/across it.
