I am not familiar with the Peoples Republic...(I am sure it is similar to the situation here in Massachusetts), but, yes, I agree, the purpose of the government is to protect and provide for the welfare and continuance of the governing elite and its various supporters. From where I sit, you and I are not but serfs, expendable in the power elites search for power and profit.
