Sierra RR Shay #2 at Montezuma Dec 30th 1979

December 30th, 1979. The Iran Hostage Crisis had aleady been going on for almost two months but that seemed very far away as SRR Shay #2 (orig Feather River Railway) worked its way back to Jamestown at the townsite of Montezuma. The following day would bring an end to akmost a decade of steam operations on the Sierra as the owning Crocker Family had decided to discontinue them.
