I was under the impression that this unit didn't have alignment control couplers. The person who posted about Spokane clearly speaks from experience, a couple of years ago we had a unit shipped out from Florida without alignment control couplers---positioned as a boxcar---and it hit Yardley where for reasons unknown the unit was set out and managed to hit the roundhouse there where it was immediatly bad ordered for couplers and they wouldn't budge on it one bit, had to hire a local contractor to replace the couplers and make the needed modifications for the unit to continue on its way where we had to pay to have the couplers replaced again as the alignment control couplers were too stiff to use on the tight curves we switch on. Couplers ended up costing more than we paid for the unit. It would be nice if people read all the FRA rules on stuff like this, not just one paragraph.
