The boarded up windows are only on the coupolas; one on either end of the roof. That's the west end of the depot we're lookinh at. The last time I was there (2007) the east coupola had no board-up. There is a portion of the depot property that is being used as a Yuppie-style coffee shop. I never saw or heard of any effort by the city to operate a museum. The entire proprty is held in private ownership.

I've never found an explantion for the coupolas. The east one has a door on the south side, and a railing, but no access from street level.
