If there was so much revenue to be gained from the NWP, the Southern Pacific would have never pulled out in the first place. All the proposed revenue sources are nothing but pie in the sky bye and bye. Where is the one single, iron clad promise of so much as a single carload of freight?

Every proposal I have heard from containers to CNG would bring the tree huggers, the bird lovers, and every other whacko along the line. If they ever do run a train, we will hear how diesel exhaust is changing spots on spotted owls or interfering with the sex life of fish.
