I remember when the CWR used to wye the entire Skunk train and at least a part of it crossed Hwy. 101. Can't recall when this was stopped.
I'm surprised that PLA has not taken a real serious stab at that turntable in Healdsburg. If it's useable, it could be a boon for their Niles Canyon operations for turning engines somewhere on the East end. Port Costa had a 70' table...I'm guessing that this one was not any longer than that.
