I trust that you viewed the previous passenger dock below the cliff to your East (right).
Now that had character; backup moves diagonally thru downtown. Tracks may still be there.

The ore dock was to the West, maybe a quarter of a mile; where the truck bodies were unloaded from the White Pass flats.

Interesting to watch the cruise ships leave in the evening. Bow thrusters spin their ships;
oh, so slowly.
