In 1978 - 80 or so, I went on my last trip to Donner before wives and children (with beer and hot dogs and no camping gear). We were on the way home and stopped at Yuba Gap to roll two more by...... 3 SD-45s about 60 cars 5 commute geeps (two torpedo boats) about 50 more cars and a lone sd-40 on the hack.... Only if the head end were H24-66s on the head end it would have been once in a life time event. Made the fun train's return a few minutes later an anti-climatic event with its 17 cars and 5 FP7s....
